Rotax & New classes-
There are some exciting things coming in '08, and two of the biggest are the Rotax program and our new class policy. We will be 'whole-heartedly' supporting Rotax racing at CHMS this coming season. With some luck and a few racers, we'll have classes for all age groups. Rotax offers TAG ease with the equality of racing against identical motor packages. CHMS is also a finalist in the bid for the Rotax Grand Nationals! The Grands are a huge honor to run, providing one of the few coast to coast national events that US karting has. With the winners of the Grands earning a spot at the Rotax World Finals, it would be incredible to host here in Norway. Keep your fingers crossed.
New classes are always a hot topic, with both racers and management wondering which to support. Starting now, anyone wishing to start a new class can buy a full season entry pass for 50% off. If there are 5 drivers that do this, the class will be a guaranteed season points class for '08. This allows us to tell other interested parties that there WILL be a class next season, and allows the drivers making a commitment to save a hefty amount of cash. We think this is a tough deal to beat. If the class does not get 5 drivers to sign up, the ones that do will receive a full refund. The offer stands until we have to go to print with the 2008 flyers, which is typically near Christmas. No date is promised, however, and there is certainly 'no time like the present'.
