So.....who is racing this weekend? It looks like the weather won't be bad....48 and sunny. We will be out there....can't wait!
I really hope the weather is nicer than it is today. I will be out there on Saturday, unless it's snowing that day.

Should be fine. 48 and sunny. Thats what Skilling said.
They should put karting on ice or snow in the winter x games. Give karting some exposure. Just a thought. Always wondered if there was some ice racing going on. That would be fun! Where was that at?
Thanks Jeff

Jeff,
Here is the link to those pictures; looks like fun.

The pictures are from a karting site in Switzerland.
There is also an Ice Kart series in Wisconsin; they mainly run 4-cycle engines.

I am hoping to make it- just need to seal the deal on a babysitter. I will be racing HPV this weekend. With the weather I wasn't able to get out and break in the kart. Hopefully next week. See you all Sat. hopefully.

I was considering coming out just for fun and to follow some people around but besides not adding any weight to my kart yet, I also have Bridgestone tires on there.
Maybe I'll just stop by to visit.

MotoBob,start in back, take a DQ for using wrong tires and weight , if it's wrong the weight. And get some seat time! Wouldn't bother me any. I dought the rest of the Masters would care. Not sure how Les would feel. You would still be paying entry fee, pit pass, and fuel. It's still money for the track. I'm sure there will be more than a couple people scrambling around for something to get it all dialed in. Your new to karting, let it ride for first race.

I have been considering that all day.
I keep thinking I should wait. It should be warmer soon and I am sure people will be there practicing that I could chase around. Then it's only $30 plus gas etc. I will keep an eye on the OSKAR times so I know where I stand once I get the correct tires and weight.
Either way I will stop by to check it out and say hi to everyone.
I am doing Rick A's CIR race on Sunday, which should hold me over for a few days. I am going to try to do some motocross riding as well if it ever dries up.
As you can see I am trying to talk myself out of it. I know with my Citi card and tool box I could hook it up and be there for early practice. No, no, I shouldn't...I could though...maybe I should...but I can't...I mean I can but...damn...:hmm:  :screwy:

Bob,
I agree with Jeff. Get there early, do the morning practice sessions, enter the heats and go to the back of the grid, don't worry about tires or weight (DQ's are no worse than not racing), run the feature and you'll gain invaluable experience and avoid being called a wimp for not racing in the cold.
I won't be there; it'll be too cold.
Actually, that's not the reason why I won't be there but it's what I'll be labeled with.
