What type of gear oil do you use in your Rotax? The manual says you should use SAE 15W40. Can I just go to Napa and purchase regular oil in that viscosity? Or should I get synethic? Or is it best to buy something specific for kart 2 stoke engines?

Terry,
Sorry I can't answer either of your Rotax questions.
Worse yet, I have a question for you...
It appears that you've bought a Rotax. At this time I'm trying to decide on what to buy for a TaG package. I thought I was settled on the Leopard, but someone else has chimed in on some advantages of the Rotax.
Did you have the opportunity to compare these two motors, and if so, can you give me your input?
Regards,
Martin

Rotax = Engine Designed for Motorcycles, and found that can be use in Karting
Parilla = Karting engines manufacturer for over 40 years, engine designed OFR karting B)
Not to say about the problems with finding the correct jetting with Rotax, compare to "on the fly" adjustments on the Leopard Tillotson Carb.

I didn't know Rotax was designed for motorcycles. That's news to me
