Saturday:
Tri-State Sportscar Council event 7 at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet.
Finished 5 of 9 in the PRO class. I was a whopping .013 seconds out of
4th. The PRO format in best morning run + best afternoon run. The event
had maybe 100 other drivers in other classes.

Sunday:
Chicago Region, SCCA event 6 at Route 66 Raceway again. Finished 1st of 4 in G Stock. Not a lot of competition these days but a 2.131 second victory is impressive anyway :)

Monday:

Finished 1st of 15 in the "normally" hotly contested "Front Wheel Drive

Mark I noticed in your pictures that you have not optimized your weight savings. Your I-pass is still in the windshield! That is probably worth at least 1 ten thousandth of a second or something.

No I'm just lazy.

Two weeks ago I almost got by a very good driver in a MiniS. He beat me by a whopping .053 seconds. I had to put the fear of God into him and left the I-Pass and Spare Tire in the car. While the weight savings from the I-Pass is very little the 25+ pound jack and spare probably cost me the victory. That said it took him 4 runs to beat me (we only get 3 in Kansas) and I was .4+ up after 3. What the hell I'm sandbagging anyway (I have been accused of it) The I-pass, spare, jack and contents of the glove box will be left in the paddock or hotel room next week in Kansas.

note: Monday I actually won my class on my 3rd morning run WITH a 220 pound passenger in the car :)

note 2: I stand little chance of winning in Kansas, just going to see how many LSD equipped 180 horsepower Mini S's I can knock off with my whimpy 140 horsepower "obsolete" Celica.

At least it still looks pretty.
