I saw an ad recently for a brand new Elite chassis and Leopard (also brand new) for a good price and I wanted to get some feedback about this chassis brand and chassis. I have heard of them and seen some stuff but don't know much about it. I know L.A.D is a new dealer for this guys, which is in ok driving distance from my house (but in the opposite direction of Norway).

Thanks!

My friend bought a Italian kart with a Leopard. He rode it about 4 or 5 times and has stopped riding. They are a very nice kart. He never had any issues. He bought his from Fastech out of California I believe. With LAD close by its a good choice. They are a good bunch of guys over there. They helped me out at 2 road race events this year. They would help you with support I'm sure. They are more into Road racing than sprint racing, but at least you have them close by if you need anything as far as parts. Sure they can also help on set up for sprint tracks. My friend won a trophy out at Norway early in the year on his kart, they are good quality. I may go ahead and buy his this winter.

Italkart is a good chassis. My friend won the US Kartsport Grand Prix (G1) on an Italkart/ICC. Make sure you have a local dealer (like LAD) nearby. Stock up on parts because I don't think any of the local tracks carry Italkart stuff.

Thanks Jeff and Rick for the feedback. What do you think of $4600 for this brand new, never run set up?

Thats a good price. They had a special last year called Andiamo or something like that for that price. My friend talked to Fastech and for whatever reason he went with a beter chassie. Its the Supersonik I believe. It has better parts and I think the chassie is of better quality, but if it fits your budget and your happy with it go for it. Call Fastech-Racing or LAD and let them tell you the difference in those 2 packages. My friend is selling his for about the same price your getting that for.

Italkart is made by Intrepid; also is the same company that makes the SKM components.
A very good kart with great components

That is good to hear.

What is the best time usually to buy a kart set up around here? Fall when people are making room in their garage? Spring? etc...
