I like your friendly notice on retaliation. I feel that way about a certain competitor in HPV at Norway.

I am thinking I will pull the trigger this spring. I doubt I'll splurge for an Exige S though. I will probably have to settle for an Elise. I am debating between Red with black rims or titanium with black rims.
You getting a new one or something different?
Are you a member at Autobahn? If not, how much track time would you say you get a year through track days and buddy passes?
Just curious.

I thought you might like that. :)

Pull the trigger now!

Something more comfortable. Something that makes me feel like I'm sitting in a lazy boy chair. I already get enough racing at the kart tracks. Track days don't do it for me and I can't afford to go all out and race the type of cars that would excite me (Spec Racer Ford, Formula Mazda, etc).

I am not a member. You don't have to be either. You can join in with the many groups that hold track days there. Also look into LAPS, Inc. (http://www.lapsincorporated.com) which does 10+ lap days there for around $3-4K per year (basically $300/day).

It can be like drinking from a fire hydrant, if you have the time and the means. Are you just interested in Autobahn, or other area tracks? I usually put a list together of area HPDE events... what are you interested in?
I do time trials with NASA Midwest. It is a lot of fun. Exige/elise would probably be a blast running for a season or more.

Rick,
I'd like to make a suggestion, buy a SCCA Formula Enterprises car. They're beautiful little formula cars that look like a mini F1 car back when they still looked good. They're powered by a stock Mazda 2.3 liter four, make about 170 hp, are low maintenance, highly regulated specifications and cost $47,900.00. I saw them at the kart show two years ago and talked with a few guys who raced them. I'd have one if it were in the budget. I also saw them in action at the June Sprints this summer. It's the next step from karts.
I know a couple of guys who race FE/FSCCA cars. They also race karts actively. If I could afford to do it right, I would do it. But you're right, they look like nice cars. I'd love to try driving one.
Anyways... my car is SOLD!

Rick, did you sell the car to someone locally?
