Hi all,

My brother Paul spliced together some footage of us racing our SRF's at the Sebring National Race on 1/11/09. I am in the blue and white #16. Paul is in the silver #86. If you have a high enough connection speed, I would recommend watching it in "high quality".

Peter,

Nice video! I like the wave. I really hate seeing that wave at CIR.

Something is wrong with your car. It's going 0 mph. You should have that fixed. You might go faster. :)

Thanks guys. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Rick, Paul thought my wave was pretty funny as well.

The problem with the speedometer on the video is a bit frustrating. My car reads mph from two sources: GPS and a magnetic sensor on the front wheel. GPS is very reliable and that is the source I use for the display I see in the car. Unfortunately, the video box can't use the GPS feed. It can only use the speed from the magnetic sensor. That sensor keeps failing. The heat from the brakes causes the magnetic to degrade very quickly.

I knew there was something that I was doing wrong :)

During the race weekend, Elite Autosport ended up rebuilding the left front brake caliper. That helped reduce the drag (and heat buildup) on that brake. They didn't have time to replace the speed sensor magnet though.
