Looking for an economy bargain here. Does not need to be competitive... but would be nice if the chassis could eventually evolve into a front runner. Engine should be reliable (as opposed to fast).

My first year out I know the driver will be the limiting factor so no sense in spending $$$ on the most hardcore equipment when I can't take full advantage of it.

It will be a month (mid-march) before I can make the purchase. Not interested in $4k packages... I want a bargain!!! :thumbsup:

A Rotax FR125 is probably the most reliable TAG engine. They generally cost more as well.

I would have to crunch the numbers, but more reliable should mean less frequent rebuilds... maybe cheaper in the long run?

I'll keep my eye out for a Rotax... thanks for the lead!

What should I look for in a chassis? Does it need to be Birel? What year or model codes woudl be decent? I wouldn't mind something capable of mid-pack.

To Hornswoggler, We have this for $2,350. Its a TonyKart ReKord that has a Adkins blueprinted engine on it. Comes Ready To Run.

Don't know. I have never driven one. There are a couple TonyKarts running at the front in HPV Heavy. Michael Schumacher drove for TonyKart. It's one of the premium brands of karts. You should have no problems running mid pack with it.

Its a SM Tillet Seat. I'm not sure how big you bottom is, but you probably will need a larger seat. Karts pretty clean.

I like ice cream and soda... and would want to get a padded seat anyways since I am a wuss. :)

How long until the engine needs a rebuild? What maintenance should be next for this kart? Any spares included? I am very interested! Will have the $$ in a month if its still for sale. Got any more pics? Where you located? (I'll be in addison tomorrow.. didnt know how close you are from there).
