Some guy, I think his name was Dave Mickelson, came out of no where and won. Matt Miller took 2nd. And I took 3rd.

Hi guys,
Sorry I didn't get this out yesterday, but I had a 7am flight to Minneapolis for some business meetings and I was pretty tired when I got home.
We had a small but solid field for Tuesday's race. A
total of nine drivers participated.
Dave Mickelson led the first race wire-to-wire,
finishing with a lead of approximately four seconds
over Marek Zacios. Matt Miller was another four
seconds back in third place. Dave also had the fast
time for the heat, running an impressive 30.22 seconds
clockwise.
Marek Zacious led the second race wire-to-wire,
finishing with a lead of three seconds over Matt
Miller. Matt was followed closely by Dave Mickelson
in third. Dave once again had the fast lap for the
heat with a 30.31. Marek was pretty close with a
30.38.
I started the third race on the pole, but could not
hold the lead past the second lap as Rick Apichairuk
made a great pass in the hairpin on the third lap.
Rick stretched out his advantage over me to one second
by the end of the race. Dave Mickelson finished
third, another three seconds or so back. Dave made it
a hat-trick of fast laps in the qualifiers, with a
fast time of 30.41 in the final heat. However, Rick
and Marek were very close with laps of 30.45 and
30.46, respectively.
For the final, Marek was on the pole and Dave was
second. Matt Miller and I tied on points for third,
but I ended up with the third starting position
because of a lucky fast lap in one of the qualifiers.
Rick Apichairuk qualified fifth, followed by Bill
Huemann, Bob Rath, Eric Anselmo and newcomer Mike
O'Malley.
In the final, Matt Miller made a nice pass on me in
the entry to the Red Bull arch on the first lap to
move into third. On the second lap, Dave moved pass
Marek to take the lead. On the fifth lap, Matt passed
Marek for second and Rick passed me to move into
fourth and drop me to fifth. On lap eight, Rick
passed Marek to move into third. On lap 12, I moved
passed Marek to regain fourth. Dave Mickelson finshed
the race first, about 6.5 seconds ahead of a tight
battle for second between Matt Miller and Rick
Apichairuk. Matt was the winner of that battle,
ending up second with Rick third. Marek and I were
another 8.5 seconds back battling for fourth. I
managed to stay ahead of Marek to the end. Dave
Mickelson had the fast lap on the night at 29.90.
Rick Apichairuk was also very quick, running a 30 flat
during the final.
Thanks to all of you that were able to make it out for
the race. I hope everyone had a good time.
FYI.
I was in kart 16 when I hit 30.0.
Both Matt Miller and I think kart 25 has very bad handling.
