Had a Grand Prix event today at Addison on Track 5. Most of these guys had never been to CIR. Fun event. Had 17 guys I think. They gave out prizes to 10 place.
There was a couple guys that race in Peter J event. Myself, Bill Huemann, and James Koller.
Need less to say we where in Final with Jim in pole poition. Bill and I had a good couple races and then got spun. Started in middle of pack for final. Jim had terrible kart and got smoked from pole position. I think kart fell apart! Hes pissed, lost like 26 pro points!
Well Bill finished 2nd and i finished 3rd a second behind him.

I won a DID chain. Bill won a Merlin computer notebook backpack.
First place was a case or Burris high-rev castor oil.

See what you missed Rick!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Congratulations Bill and Jeff! Awesome job! :thumbsup: :clap::cheers:

Here's the timing scoring for the event: http://scores.oskarsystems.com/cir/Race.aspx?RaceId=166094&Center=cir

I wish I could have been there. However, I'm in the Bay Area right now. Jim Koller took my place.

Hey Jeff,

Congrats to you and Bill on solid finishes. Yes, if there is anything I enjoy its getting to see my name in same sentence as pole and smoked. Anyway, it was nice meeting everybody and I had a really good time racing with everybody (right up to moment I sat in Kart 4). I hope that the staff euthanize that POS. "Hey yeller, come behind the barn.." :shooting_smilie2:

It sucks that sometimes it's a disadvantage to be on pole.

I was surprised that they did not keep the kart order like in the Peter J events. They just had a heap of karts in the T2 Pits and sent them out in whatever order they finished in. By a quirk of the starting order, that meant that the two fastest karts (i.e. the ones Brandon and I were driving in the last heat) were lined up behind this toilet that was dead last in one of the heats but had gone unused in the final heat.

Good times.

Jim
