I was in Sacramento yesterday and went to RPM Indoor Kart Racing (http://www.raceplacemotorsports.com/). It had a facility similar to CIR. The theme was motocross/karting/nascar/formula. The track staff wore motocross stuff.

Overall it was a nice karting place. They are open at 11am and close at 11pm 7 days a week. I went there at 11:15am and there were a lot of people there for arrive and drives already. I got to do the combined track as well. They have combined track A&Ds every Monday. I thought that was nice.

All of their karts have a 9hp Honda engine. The racing surface is not as good as CIR, but the extra torque makes up for this. Over all it's a very nice place. I recommend going there if you are ever in Sacramento.

I've gone to my friends house in Pheonix a couple times and allways insist on going to F1 Race Factory. Its not as nice as CIR, but you cant beat $75 for racing all day. www.f1racefactory.com

I did 3 arrive and drives and posted a time that was 7th fastest for the week. But still over 1 second off the pace though. =(
