Who is going and what class are you running?

Everyone have fresh re-builds?

New engines or karts?

My engine is tired still! I put a piston in and carb kit. May not get that complete re-build until first road race. I have a new bottom end to put in. Just need some better cash flow!

I will be racing Tag Masters if all goes well.

Your tired engine just gives you an "out" or excuse if you are not doing well

Can't do the first race, thanks for my shitty work schedule.

Weather permitting, I will be out there in my HPV. Actually probably not as my motor will have to be broken in and the weather isnt looking to promissing this week. We'll see. Hopefully the forcast will change.

The racing season hasn't even started yet! How did you break your ribs? Hope you get well soon and get out racing!

I wont be ready until second race. Its amazing how much all this $hit adds up to be, just to get out there and break again!!!!:shooting_smilie2:

Right now Im at $1800 before i hit the track. And I have alot of extras!

For that price I should just buy one of those Spec racers. Im sure after my first race and things fall apart I will be wishing I had!

Its time to watch the movie Falling Down!!

There continues to be a lot of interest in the Spec Racer class. If you two were to buy and race one this weekend, I think that should put the class over 10. As long as everyone that says they are racing comes out...

We also rent the demo kart for $100 plus your entry fee's. It has a MyChron 4 and a 200# driver should make weight.

Do Corvettes have V8s?

Of course, I'm going! I'll be racing in TAG Senior. I just got done stripping all my Leopard stuff off my M31 and putting it on the M32. I haven't driven it yet. I hope it works! I'm using the same engine I used at the Rock Island Grand Prix. It's one of JET Karting's rental engines. I haven't rebuilt it or had it blueprinted. It performed so well stock that I don't want to change it. Anyone else going to be there?

I might come and watch. Not ready, no brakes! i should be ready for second race.

I think I finally am starting work! Had interview last week. Even in construction now they do back ground check, drug test, check your license completely. If you have to many tickets. Wont get hired, cause insurance for company wont cover you. Plus they have 20,000 construction workers out of work trying to get the same job.

They emailed me today and all is good. They said they would get back to me later today!:thumbsup:

So Rick, you have more or less a brand new set-up?

UPDATE. Its going to be tight, but I'm going to make it. I know drivers meetings at 1:30, but when does the actual racing start? How does tech work? I ran tonight an finally broke into the 49's so hopefully it wont be too bad. I will be running HPV. Any quick answers before I go to bed would be awesome.

Rick, So what was the breakdown. I noticed 3 classes mixed into 1 race. Is Ty racing masters? How many senior riders? HPV looked pretty small as well.

Dan Sills and his wife were the 2 Masters entries. Dan beat up on his wife and won. :)

The rest were all TAG Senior.

It was a good race. Nice weather.

I felt like the whole organization of the races was way better than it was last year. The new scales are top of the line racing scales. There's an A & B grid now. It was very professionally run and everything went smoothly.

The turn out wasn't all that bad from the looks of mylaps results. Thought it may have been lower in numbers.

With the way this winter just keeps dragging along its hard for people maybe to get out there. No practice no racing?

Nice to hear about the scales.

The points winners will still be who can show up for the most races. Too many races. Should have best 10 of 15. Impossible to get out to that many races with so many other things to do. Plus so many other series races and road races. It starts to thin entries accross the board. For the amount of actual racers out there. There is too much going on almost. Just my opinion.

Then again there is 10 million people in Chicago area! Who knows.

I am suprised the top was running in the 46s... I would have thought with a green track and colder weather it would be slower. Damn, I need to set it up!

Arno, the winner Jordan Johnson is very fast. He has track record for tag.

Your practice times are still very good. Get out there and practice, you will be fine. Also when you race you will get faster. Learn to race with other riders. Plus following someone that is a little quicker than you will help.

If you could get out to a practice. say when Rick is out there, or someone fast. Then try and follow and get to know the line better. That would help.

I definetly want to do that. I know that running with other people around you has to be different, hopefully I will be able to experience that soon.

Anybody want to go practice during the week? :)

Don't know the weight, but I am pretty certain I am under weight. Next time I'll get on the scale and see how far off I am.

I know it will make a huge difference, that just means that I will need to spend more time doings laps and hanging out at the track, oh darn!
