What do you use to lubricate your bearings?

You talking axle bearings or clutch bearing? Use a couple different things. Use Tri-Flow on Axle bearing. For clutch bearing use some high temp auto grease i get at auto part store that lasts me since Ive started. Now its just a mess and needs to thrown away and get a new one!

Jeff, thanks for the input. I was asking specifically about axle bearings.

Rick,

We use TriFlow to lubricate the axle bearings. We load them up between races..... we do not lubricate between sessions as this just seems to attract more dust and dirt to the bearings. If they get dirty, soak them in fuel this will remove a lot of the dirt...blow them out and load up with TriFlow.

I clean them out with BraKleen, and then oil with WD-40, or preferably Triflow. Do this at least every day you run, and anytime you suspect they are dirty...like a trip through a gravel trap or something.

The bearings are so big to accomodate the size of the axle that they are WAY tougher than they would need to be to suppport the load. A heavy grease lube would just be more drag.

Just wondering anyone. If you put new axle bearings in. Do you blast Tri-Flow in there to clean out the grease? Thus never using the grease and just Tri-Flow from the start.

Thanks Jeff
