Rick, I dont think Roberto is old enough yet. 1 more year i think.
Ryan, I know Bill wants to go too. If you want to go the same day that would be cool. They are closed Mon and Tues for practice. I would like to go on a work day when the place is empty. Practicing on weekend is hard to get consistent laps in with slower drivers.
You can only run engines from 10 am to 6 pm at Badger.

It was fun!
Badger is a VERY technical track......if you think you can drive a kart......go try Badger.
It is a nice place....very well mantained.
There were around 30 karts for practice today.
I need to wait 1 year before I can race TaG Masters.
Ryan, I will let you know next time we go out there; you will like the track and how technical it is.

Jeff,
39.36 at 390lbs.
There is more on driver, gear, flex and chassis to improve; but I am happy with this lap times for this time of the year (green track and cold weather)
Are you racing there this year?

Yes, I will be racing there. Most of my sprint racing will be there this year.
For me I like the Sunday racing way better.
I dont want to say the wrong thing and this isnt putting anything against Concepts! Badger has a different feel to it on a race day. More exciting, maybe its the big crowd of racers. Feels more like a Series race. For me its hard not go and pass on the huge field of racers in Tag Masters.
It does have its faults too, as with that large of a field. You have some nice 5 kart first turn mix-ups! Sometimes costing $,$$$.$$!
Looking at mylaps, it seems the fastest time in Heat 1 was 37.780 (http://mylaps.com/results/showrun.jsp?id=909409) by a TAG Senior in July last year. 39.36 for your first time at a new track in cold conditions and +30lbs is pretty damn good! I'm assuming you were on old tires right? I'm sure you will shave 1/2 second with new tires and another 1/2 second with better set up and probably another 1/2 with more practice. You'll probably be running at the front. Good job Roberto.
Jeff, what kind of times do the TAG Masters guys run usually?

For Tag Masters 38's are a good time. The top 5 average in there with some high 37's maybe. Then many 39's and some 40's in the back. In practice there I get in 39's. Track has some tighter turns that if you dont keep your speed in the corners, your toast.
When I race there I give the other guys more room. I need more track time there. Last year I only raced once there and never practiced. The year before was my newbie year. Started late in year too. All in all I dont have much seat time on that track. Maybe 5 to 7 race days and 2 practice days.
Roberto would be right out with the top 5. Even though there is a huge field of Masters there. Maybe 8 different guys can win races there. The rest of the field falls in place anywhere. Im with them!!!
Roberto did you take turn one full out? Maybe some lift off throttle?
