After Martin's unfortunate accident, I'm really considering getting one of these Leatt braces. What do you guys think?

It looks good, and mentions spinal compression protection. My guess though, is it would protect against spinal compression only in the neck area.

I remember a post you recently made with an image of a heavy-duty spring. How about fixing that to the top of my helmet?:)

It looks good....

At least it doesn't look gay.

This device is meant to be used when you are strapped in. If you look closely it has two wings on the front for the belts to go over. Tony purchased one of these for Toby to use for his Mini Cup car. It looks like a nice peice of equipment.

There's a version that is made for those who are not strapped in. It's made for motocross and karting.

After seeing a bunch of karting accidents, I decided that this piece of protective equipment is probably worth the price. I finally saved up enough money to get one so I ordered it online today. I'll let you guys know how it looks. Hopefully I never have to actually rely on it to function during an actual accident.

Looks like a good investment. The cost of the top of the line stuff is similar to a HANS device.
