I had the opportunity to test the new Birel N-35X yesterday at CHMS.
These are the new Birel rental karts and the same type of kart that Birel uses for the 24 hours at the Jesolo (Venice) track every year.

These karts are more of a racing kart than a rental, the handling and response of the kart are great.

Thank you Les for the opportunity to drive this brand new kart! :)

If you guys are around CHMS, try these karts, they are fun to drive.

Thanks for the info Roberto. I'll definitely want to check them out.

So are we going to race in this 24 hour race (http://www.coseonline.com/home.asp) or not!? :)

Gentleman,

Who wants to run a Grand Prix at Norway with the new N-35X?
we can do it on a Sunday;the format could be Practice, Heat 1, Heat 2 and Final.
what do you guys think? This will be a good opportunity for people that is thinking about getting into outdoor karting to see what it is all about.

Roberto :)

I'd consider it. I'd like some seat time in an outdoor kart before I make the decision to buy one.

The reason I asked is because I might not be able to make it. I have relatives in town. I also was planning on going to watch Peter race his Spec Racer Ford. I think next week would be better for me. Friday evening? Is there a way to ballast the karts so that the weights are even?

As a newbie to this forum, and somebody looking to get into outdoor karting, I am in. I was intending to go out there on Sunday anyway, providing it does not rain.

Work be damned, let's do it! Those karts look great! Sunday, let's go. Rick, don't take you're relatives to the Shedd Acquarium; take them racing! :)

You should come out on Saturday. Saturday is race day.

I would like to, but I think the old POS I live in has other plans for me, so I think it is one or the other. I will try to make it, but do not hold your breath.

I didn't say this coming Sunday.........we can do it in couple weeks if we want; I believe a Sunday could be the best day for everybody.
Those N-35X are nice karts......

I started a poll so we can all vote for the days which work best for us.

Oops.. I missed the "a" before Sunday. At any rate, I will probably still go check out the karts unless it rains.

Going from work to Norway directly would take me an hour and a half. I don't think that would leave us with much time, so I voted for all the Sundays.

They have lights. I have raced there until 10pm before.
