USA International Raceway Shawano closing?

Found out from a very good source that Shawano is closing. They are under foreclosure. Dont think this has even hit ekarting news yet. But.......

Not good as this was an awesome track. Hope they just dont take a bulldozer to it!

The Badger Tag Masters series will be changing there schedule and will be racing a night race at Road America sprint track!

Andy, this might be a good time to see if Masters class could have a race at Concepts next year. Just a thought.
Could get guys for a practice day and a race day with 20 plus entries.

George from Franklin is in charge of Tag Masters class at Badger now. He is the one who now sets the schedule for class. If interested give him a call. Could be a good thing.

Shawano is a cool track. Always been a lot of rumors about wierd things going on with the owner group, but I've never had anything but good from them. Scott Paape, the manager is a good guy.

I hope it's just an ugly rumor.

It doesn't sound like it will be around long. At least by the group of gypsies that own it!:hum::redface:

Dont think that track has much of a chance to be profitable. Kind of in the middle of nowhere. So not sure if any new buyers would be interested. Kind of an expensive hobby for that neck of the woods!!!
