Come out and see some fun club racing on Sunday. New people are always welcome to just hang out and watch, or join in and help with a worker assignment, or find out about getting onto the track themselves some day.

There's a track day on Saturday (also run by Midwest Council) and unfortunately registration is closed.

Good luck with the race! Set pole and win it! If you want some ChicagoRacers stickers for the car, just ask. I have extras.

I am excited to see if my recent kart practice pays off in the Miata. Hard to tell if it will, but I feel a little sharper (and braver) than usual! Might stop off at Norway on my way up there on Saturday to sneak in a few more laps! It's almost on the way from Peoria to Beloit.

I will report whatever happens!

Stickers would be cool...good for covering up the scratches...hopefully I'll see/meet you at CHMS sometime to pick some up....

Fun race day. Ran two race groups so got more than 2 hours of track time.

Race 1 - Class ITA. Qualified 6th (of about 30) - finished 7th. Had a lot of fun racing with a couple of the other Spec Miatas.

Race 2 - Class SM. Qualifed 8th (of about 30) - finished 11th I think. Again, good racing but let a couple of people past that I should have kept behind me. Oh well...more to learn next time!

I ran a 1m26.1 in one of the races - a little slower than my PB - but the car is a little heavier and we are running a smaller restrictor in the 1.8L cars than we did in '08. Lots more to come yet - pole positions were in the mid 24s.

Next time out is Autobahn North in 2 weeks time. Running 2 groups again - can't wait! Hope to be at CHMS before then for some extra seat time...

I will be racing my Spec Racer Ford with Midwest Council at Autobahn as well.
