The TAG field will be a pretty good size and the competition will be pretty good. A chance for all you TAG guys who want to race in a larger field. Who's going to be there?

Tag Masters at Badger has some very good guys that are in there 50's and low 60's. They do well, one is leading the series right now.

Rick, any room by that garage this weekend? Last year they made you pay rent for a piece of grass!

Currently, the garage is packed solid. Both my kart and Ryan's kart are there. We don't even have room for Martin's kart at this time. Martin's kart is in the shop for the time being until we move to the premium garages. That being said, I have no problems with anyone setting up their pit space by my garage or at my garage at all. As long as it's ok with the guys who run Rt 66 and/or JET Karting. You'll just have to pack your stuff up at the end of the day since our garage is full.

FYI, Jim Koller will be hosting the cookout with Craig Kelly on Saturday evening. I'm looking forward to the gourmet brats!

That was the hard part last year. Drinking a 6 pack(or more) and driving home 90 miles. Only to get back up 6 hours later and drive 90 miles back! LOL!!!

I will make sure to eat plenty to soak up the alcohol. Maybe I will take the dog and find a hotel to sneak him in and spend the night down there. What sucks is having to piss so many times on the way home!!!:hum:

Is Ryan racing?

Jeff, you can still come on Sunday. TaG Masters had 3 at Springfield. I doubt it will be too full to let you race. I think I would rather race in TaG and have more karts, but we will see. I have a spot rented for the weekend Jeff. You are welcome to share with Kyle and I. I am sure there will be room for the 4 of us. You ,me,Kyle and Mike Prokup. I have a tent and an easy up all ready for the weekend. If we have to, we can leave the tent down during the day and just put it up later in the day Sat for the cookout. Let me know.

Easy, get a tent or put a mattress in your trailer. Who needs sleep anyways?

Ryan, why not race HPV then? I remember you telling me that at Badger, them having it only 35 and over. Why not run and take a DQ in Tag Masters! Is that legal? LOL!!!!

Ryan looks too young to be 35! Even when you turn 35, people will second guess you I would think.

Arno, camping is fine at races. But i dont think Concepts has showers like Road Race facilities has. I need to shower in the morning! Need sleep 12 -14 hours a day work.

Jeff, I will stop-bye or pit with you. Looking forward to meeting all who I havent meet yet. Your right if I cant make it Saturday I would just start at back of pack. Most likely were i would be anyways.

Im happy to make a race at Concepts! In a way I wish it was a club race, just to help try and support the track. Somehow we need to help turn the numbers around. I wish I could do more!!!

Jeff,

When I found out about the rule change I was a little frustrated and wasn't even thinking about the HPV. I have since make plans. As far as taking the DQ- I cant justify going out there Fri- Sun knowing my results wont count. Lots of money to spend with no result. I will hopefully be out there Sun. to help out.

Yeah man! Run HPV!

The new premium garages has shower facilities. But I think they are only open to people who rent one. And they aren't ready yet as far as I know.

Yep. Finally get to race after missing two.

Oh Jeff, nearly forgot, if you have another HPV carb kit, could you bring it tomorrow?

Jeff Stamper
06-11-2009, 06:56 AM
We are pitting right behind the Express Trailer. If you come off the track and follow the pit out road all the way to the grass, we are on the left before you get to the back field. As far as a Carb Kit Kyle, I sold all the HPV stuff with the motor. They cost about 5 bucks or so. You need to order about 6 or 7 of them anyway. Your motor and your brothers need to be rebuilt about every 3 or 4 weeks. And thats weeks, not running days.

Jeff-

We do have a shower in the shop. It's the first door by the bathrooms. Not the greatest water, but it'll get you clean... You'll sleep much better. No charge or anything, just bring your towel, shampoo, etc.

That was a fun weekend of racing!

Andy and Les the facility looked great!

Nice turnout in every class.

Give a special thanks to Dan and Sue Sills for letting me shower and sleep in there trailer! VERY VERY nice of you, I cant thank you enough!!!

Another special thanks to Michael Frank. Never purchased a thing from him and was willing to give me a bolt and nut to fix my stearing problem he even wrenched it on!!! I will be calling soon. You have a couple of cool gadgets!!!!

Great to meet Jeff Stamper and all the Tag Master riders.
We had a good clean race. I started last cause I lost my stearing in semi and had to pull off. Came back to get in third position only to over-shoot the monza and give position back to Dan.

I may follow this series as I had a ton of fun. Who is going to New Castle?

The next final was for the Jet Karting TAG Heavy/Masters class with nine entries. Early race leader Rod Holliday would fall victim to a broken chain on lap five. This left the battle up front to Peter Cook and a hard charging Jeff Stamper. Cook was able to pull away to a .699 second win over Stamper followed by Dan Sills, Jeff Salek and Russ Kemple.

Sixteen TAG karts gridded next in the Viper Racing Tag Sr. Leopard class for their final with Kyle Erdmann and Keenan Hertzner pacing the field at the start. Erdmann took the early lead with Hertzner and Adam Crepin locked in a tight pack. Hertzner moved to the front on lap five and held off Erdmann for the win by just .401 seconds with Crepin in third about two seconds back. Brett Johnston, Jordan Johnson, Rick Apichairuk and Matthew Laukaitis followed in a tight pack about seven seconds back.

The Laukaitis Racing TAG Senior class and the Merlin Racing Karts TAG Jr. Leopard classes were combined with 12 karts taking the green flag. Kyle Erdmann and Brett Johnson paced the field with Drake Ostrom and Gregory Gerst pacing the Junior class. Erdmann grabbed the lead and was uncontested for the win taking his second class win for the day. Johnson finished 4 seconds back in second place followed by a tight battle for third where Adam Crepin worked past Dean Leifheit followed by Justin Vancil. Ostrom took the Junior TAG class win over Gerst by just .18 seconds in one of the closest finishes of the day.

The final race of the day for the LSR Motorsports HPV Senior class had Scott Kopp and Kyle Erdman locked in a tight battle for the entire race with Koop holding on for the win. Adam Sullivan, Kyle Prokup and Aaron Metzler rounded out the top five.Congrats to all the local racers who did well!
