Anyone going to see this movie? I know Mark will definitely be there.

I hate to burst your bubble Rick but I will not be attending RedLine. That said, like the F&F movies I "might" watch it when it hits Cable.

Mark: I was kidding.

Most of the movies listed are really good comedy flicks. I agree, I usually wait for them to come out on cable.

You should add Driven and Days of Thunder to the list.

I'm curious why Le Mans was included in this group?

In my opinion, Le Mans is the best racing movie ever made. It deserves better company.

I think LeMans is the best movie in this group due to it's realism. The list just contains all car/bike movies that I could think of at the time. As Adam pointed out, I missed "Driven" and "Days of Thunder". I also think "Cars" should be on that list.

I added the missing movies to the list.

Isn't it interesting that LeMans is tied with Fast and Furious?

How about "The Gumball Rally" ?

Good choice El. Gumball Rally is one of my favorites.

I did find it interesting that Fast and the Furious was up there with Le Mans in terms of viewer ship. Its a fun one to see with non-car people.

Days of Thunder actually is pretty decent if you know the back story. Far better than say, Stroker Ace. Great book - horrible movie.

I liked Cars, particularly all the cameos that Pixar worked in.

I'd add Grand Prix, Winning, Once Apon a Wheel, and Heart Like a Wheel to the list.

I'm a big fan of Driven, because it taught me a lot about auto racing. One of the best things I learned from it is that if you want to overtake another car, just downshift. It also taught me that steroids are alive and well in the world of road racing.

It seems like "The Fast and Furious" is the true racer's movie.

The Fast and the Furious series is a great starting point for people who want to learn about racing as well. Thanks to Vin Diesel, I now know that you should double-clutch when upshifting in drag races. Those movies are also rife with quality dialogue, such as this exchange from 2 Fast 2 Furious:

"Thats MY sandwich!"

".... SO?!?!?"

Here is a good preview for the next movie:

Adam, I truly agree that the Fast and Furious is an all time great instructional video on racing techniques. Before I go to the track, I always watch the Fast and Furious to brush up on techniques I should use when driving at speed.

I'm going to say that the best of the listed movies was "Cars". I guess I liked F&F at the time, but looking back, I dont know how I could have.
