2007.04.15 IronMan race report.

Congratulations to Keith Harris for winning the Junior class of IronMan race! Congratulations to Paul Jones for his impressive podium finish of 2nd place in his first IronMan race on track 5 in the Clubman class! Congratulations to Dave Mickelson for his outstanding pass on Peter Jankovskis on the last lap for the win in the Pro class. Congratulations to Peter for an outstanding performance and 2nd place finish in the Pro class. Peter's average lap time equaled Dave's. Overall a good race except for 2 or 3 drivers who's will to win far surpassed their track knowledge or current skill level.

Thanks, Rick! I thought it was a great race! I wasn't entirely satisfied with my performance, but it was my first iron man and first time on track5. I learned a lot and figured out some areas where I need to improve. And I had FUN! I look forward to competing more in the near future!

Congrats to Keith, Dave, and Peter for outstanding driving!

Thanks Rick and Paul. You both drove strong races as well. Rick, Dave and I were definitely a train at the end of the race.

Thanks again to CIR for letting us run track 5 clockwise. The Red Bull turn is definitely a challenge in that direction.

Wow, congratulations Paul!!! Any pics of the evil stig on the podium?

Paul did not get to stand on the podium unfortunately. They only gave out trophies for 1st place in each class. But he was 2nd place and even finished ahead of some Junior and Pro drivers.
