It seems like the Top guys have all the goodies. One of them a nice Champion or similiar Radiator. Any advantages to having one?
Thanks for your opinions!
Jeff
Hey Jeff, I noticed that too last year and asked around and people told me that you can loose 1/2-1 or more horsepower when the engine gets too hot. I think that temperature is 160 degrees F water temp.

If you run the larger radiator the engine will run cooler then from there you are able to adjust temps up to the temp that the engine makes the most horsepower. You have to put an engine on a dyno and change watertemps to find out what that temp is for best performance. You'll see on our customer karts the bigger radiator with the adjustable speed waterpump and changable thermostat unit.

Who makes or sells the changeable thermostats?

Well I just purchased one off of ebay. Mine broke at water fitting when I was breaking it down for the winter. Picked it up for $140. Looks good to great cond. See when it gets here. Its a Lg shifter size, I may need to find a mount for it!
Michael,
I saw those fancy thermostats last year! Another thing on the bucket list!!!
Could you post a picture? Will you have those at the show this weekend? If so I can take a look then.
Anyone going on Friday to the roundtable discussion? Im not working so I might go. Otherwise i will be there early on Saturday at the opening to get the best stickers!!LOL!
Thanks Jeff

The Engineering company that builds the Azzurro karts builds them. There are pictures on our website www.azzurrokarts.com. They work great half way through the warm up lap temp is up and never changes through out a run.
Jeff
We will not have a booth, the new karts are not going to be in for another two weeks. I had them make some changes to them so they were delayed.
