I just got back from Norway. I was the only one out there for 3 hours (Les went to Iowa) then 1 other person came. I figured out how to get my kart of the kart stand by myself. That was interesting. I played around with camber/caster adjustments and tried to get even wear across the tires. It was great day to drive today. The track was a little cold. I had the track to myself for 3 hours.

I played around with the "RAVE" valve and I couldn't really tell the difference between the two extreme settings. Martin, do you notice anything with yours?

It still looks like 60% chance of rain. So I will wait and see. New driver + new kart + rain = accident waiting to happen. I will try to avoid rain if I can. =)

Sunday still looks good. Dave: I'll call you in the morning and tell you if I'm going or not. If I don't go tomorrow, I definitely plan on going on Sunday. Martin and Stefan: are you guys going out on Sunday too?

 Are you a factory driver already?! Damn, that's what I need... a mechanic. I bet they're even more useful than a set of metric allen wrenches and a can of Brakekleen!

OH NO! My personal life is interfering with my racing! Saturday is Sweetest Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweetest_Day) and I have to spend time with Vicki.

There are some things that are just more important than racing. Stefan, when you get a girlfriend, you will know what I mean. :) I just talked to Dave. We will be there tommorow about 9:30 am. Hope you guys have fun today. Stefan, can we borrow your mechanic for tommorow?

The weather was nice today in Naperville area. How was weather in Norway, IL? Someone should fire the weather man. With the way things are going, it's going to be pouring rain tommorow.

Thanks for the pizza, Mirko.

Nice driving, Stefan! And stopping your kart on the track to help a damsel in distress... what a gentleman you are.

Thanks for introducing me to Andy. If Les is too high in price for a Birel I'll go with a PCR DD2 chassis.

Just rub it in why don't you! That's the last time I trust the weather guy! Well at least there's something good. They say it will rain tommorow morning. So that means it will be 60 and sunny. :D

Just got back from Norway. It was absolutely great weather out there.....

for ice skating.

It had to be the one day that the weather guy was right. Dave and I spent all day freezing our butts off. We spent the first part of the day trying to get the jetting right. After we figured that stuff out, we spent the rest of the day ice skating around. We both went on safari a couple of times. Overall it was fun. I had an unofficial 47 (don't laugh -- that's a personal best :P ) sec lap there. I guess loose IS faster. I hope it warms up for the Halloween race. Dave couldn't get his smile off his face for about an hour. He's hooked. :D

The first one's free, but you'll be back! ;)

Dave and I also saw the weirdest thing when we went to the gas station/diner/convienence store to get batteries. We saw someone purchasing 2 cans of 24 oz camouflaged cans of Busch beer at 10 am.
