Are you guys ready for the halloween race?
I got a set of new tires today, I am going to practice on Friday and the other driver on my team is ready :D
See you guys Saturday morning :4:
Roberto
I hope the weather is better. Otherwise, I'll be racing in a winter parka.

Rick:
Chassis set-up is going to be IMPORTANT this weekend.
You have to start playing with tire pressures and chassis adjustments.
See you Saturday!

We're ready but watching the weather. It's going to be cold but that's not the real problem....there is a chance of rain and if it does, Les will cancel the race....bummer.

if he cancels the race because of rain.....then that will be dumb.

[How about snow?]
Do you have snow tires Rick?
Weather.com predicts a mixture of snow and rain on Sat.

I'll be out there to break down my kart and get ready for the winter - that's about it though... definitely NOT racing...

The weather forecast is starting to look up. LSR Motorsports is coming in from South Bend and may be bringing a couple RM1/DD2 karts. Too bad I sold mine and Rick is going auto-crossing.

I'm going autocrossing because you said you weren't going to race with me (due to concern over weather)!

Phil and Rick....you guys should change your plans and come out! The weather is looking a lot better now....looking like mid 50s and breezy. Brennan is running Yamaha Jr. Sportsman and Rotax Mini Max with the Team CIR crew. I have a feeling that there will be a lot of people out there....pretty good buzz on ekartingnews.com. I hope to see a lot of you guys out there!

Well it seems that I might be racing with Phil AGAIN. :) My kart seems to have an electrical/ignition related problem that needs to be sorted out first. We'll try to do that on Sat morning practice.
FYI. LSR Motorsports will be there and they might bring some DD2s.
Anyone know what the schedule is for the Halloween race? When is practice and when are the various classes running their 100 lap races?

Dave
If Rick's kart can be fixed, I'll team up with him and run the 100 lapper. Either way I'll be there for the 30 lap shifter race.
Rick
The flyer shows: Gates open at 8am and practice starts at 8am :screwy: so you may want to drive to the track suited up with your helmet on
Practice is from 8am to 10am
Features (I'm guessing the 30 lappers) 10am to 12pm (again no time to get ready for the race unless you end your practice early) :screwy:
Hotdog & Coke Race (Martin requested beer but was turned down) :diablotin: Noon
100 lappers 12:30
They list 5 classes for the 100 lapper but state classes may be combined. Knowing how over cautious the track management is, and how the guys at Norway dislike combining classes, it looks to me like there'll be at least three 100 lap races. My guess, 1) Supercan 2) HPV & TAG and 3) Briggs Raptor/Animal
USAIR ran all their senior classes together last year, including shifters and 4 cycles. I think there were almost 50 karts on the track.....best race I've ever run....passing 4 to 5 karts every lap for 33 laps...it doesn't get any better than that. I have to admit the really slow 4 cycles should not have been in that race, and I think for this year, they're running them with the juniors, but I can't see why all the 2 cycle karts couldn't run together at Norway and why shifters are not allowed in the 100 lapper :dunno:

When is the 100 lapper at USAIR?
Are you racing?

It's this Sunday....I'm bummed I can't make it. My plans were to do the double header, Norway Sat and USAIR Sun.

Bummer man...but I can understand saving the motor. I just saw that a few spots opened up for the SuperNats.....I'll have to crunch some numbers and see if I can pull off a miracle and go. That is shaping up to be the kart race of all time. Kick some butt out there.
