My dad and Art (the two two most cluless drivers) will be driving the two clueless cars, numbers 15 and 51 in this race. I rented a car and will be driving the red 04 car in the race. There are 8 cars signed up at the moment and the average field size last year was 22-24 cars. So I suspect there will be a lot of late entries.
Qualifying is at 11:05 am and the race will be the 6th race after lunch. My guess is that the race will be around 3:30ish. These events are usually a lot of fun and I invite anyone and everyone to come out and check out some racing. The SCCA does not have insurance for spectators (from what I understand) so you need to be a member or "crew" to get into the race. I put for one of my crew members on my registration "anyone who asks." So "anyone who asks" can pay $10 and get a wristband to get in. You cannot crossover the track to enter during races. So if you would like to get there to see our race you will want to be there by about 2:00 to get across the track and then we can show you around (if you have never been there before) and you can figure out where to watch the race from. If you know the territory already you can get there a little later. We will have lunch right after qualifying so noonish and feel free to join us for that.
The more "crew" members we can get the better!
I want to go to this so bad! Can I be a crew member at the next race?

Hi Rick,
I have added you as a crew member to my registration for the school day (April 28) as well as the race day (April 29). I think that gets you in for free. You just need to stop at the registration shed on the way into the track to get a wristband.
I also added you to my crew for the May 5/6 National at Blackhawk.
You have to promise to cheer for blue and white car #6 instead of the red #04 :) My goal is to go fast enough that Reed doesn't lap me.

It looks like there will be a pretty good turnout for the race. There are 9 internet registrations, I know Clueless Art is going to sign up. There are generally a ton of late registrations. Also, the powers that be have mentioned that there are several paper sign ups as well. So I am hoping for a field of 22+ cars and a fun race.
The circle is completing now Peter. Last year you where the new guy. Now there are more new guys going through the school and you have all of your experience from last year. This year you will do the school and get settled in and then qualify better than last year and finish better than last year. Lets all have a good time!

Anybody who wants to come this Sunday, you will need to be there by 11 a.m. on Sunday morning. Go to registration and tell them you are Reed Bartuska's crew. Mention Clueless Racing and watch them roll their eyes. Pay $10 and come in. Our qualifying is right at 11 so if you want to meet up with us before hand you probably want to be there by about 10. Car numbers:
Peter Jankovskis will be driving a very nice looking blue and white car (saw it for the first time yesterday) with the number 6 on it I believe.
Rick Bartuska (my dad) drives white and orange number 15
Art Kopp drives the matchign white and orange number 51 which really confuses the corner workers.
Reed Bartuska will be driving the red number 04 car. It will be an interesting qualifier for me. A car that I have never driven, first session of the year, and its the only qualifying we get.
You can get the directions at:
www.blackhawkfarms.com (http://www.blackhawkfarms.com)
It is very easy to find.
They WILL close registration promptly at 11 and I always invite a ton of people to come out and hang out so registration loves me.

As it turns out I did not turn a wheel all weekend.:) I did go on one call during lunch Friday. A very fast FC drivers crew attempted to park a very large totor home in a what looked to be dry grass (Blackhawk is built on a swamp ya know) well it sunk the drive wheels. WE were told we were going to help a stuck pickup and trailer that in real life turned out to be a 60+ foot Totor Home vs a Ford F350 with maybe a 8,000-12,500 spool. I did move it 5 feet before my truck started doing wheelies. Later in the day the BIG wrecker came to pull; him out, I'm guessing it cost the team $300 to $500 to bring in the SEMI wrecker. note he came back for another one a couple hours later :grinno:

Thanks. It was a small field. Only 11 of us. It was a good race for 7th among three drivers. We all qualified within a half second of each other.
