The end of an era in Karting
The structure of the classes in the World Championships is going to change. The famous CIK/FIA classes like FA, ICA and JICA are now going to be called KF1, KF2 and KF3.

These changes are more than just the names of the classes; the engines are the main change in this restructure. The 100 cc DIRECT DRIVE engines are going to be replaced by 125 cc TAG engines. No more push and jump to the seat to start, now , just touch the green bottom and go.

There are a lot of engines now that are going for homologation and the manufacturers are planning on introducing the new engines to the market in January 1st of 2007.

IAME, will present the Parilla Reedster. This engine will be used in all the new classes and will be controlled by a carburetor size and a rev limiter to determine the class that will be running. As well as driver age and experience.
