Who is that?

Voytek is quickly becoming a CIR regular.
He's currently ranked 66 in ProScore.
(Although the computers are still overwelmed with recalculating standings after Erjon went home in the first third of the IronMan)

Ranking on T4 to be determined.

Rick, I know this isn't the correct spot in the forum for what follows, but here I go, anyway:

Erjon lost about 15 on T1,2,3 ProScore. He's been reset to zero on T4 ProScore.

Are you reading this, Erjon? Last night was in my top ten favorite races at CIR. Andy Dunn and I were bumper-to-bumber for at least 30 laps. While I followed him waiting for him to make a mistake (which he didn't make), I thought he was at my mercy. Once traffic finally separated us, I realized my fast times were from following Andy. Bye Bye, Andy... nice racing with you.

If you hadn't quit, and remained eternally stuck behing that slow, incompotent slug Keith Harris, (just kidding Keith, I think you're one of the best), you still would have finished 3rd. Shame on you, Erjon.

OH NO! Are you being serious Martin? Did he really leave? :headscratch: I will have to make Erjon sign a contract that prevents him from leaving the race during the 300 Lap Enduro. :bawling:

Sorry, Rick.
This should not be a part of the victorious Stefan/Matt thread. Please move to an appropriate place.

Hi guys,

I thought I would throw in this link to video I shot with a helmet cam during qualifying for the ironman. Unfortunately the camera was mounted a little crooked, but I think it turned out pretty well. I'll try to get the camera closer to level when I shoot video at the Palm Beach race next month.

Very nice! I need to get one of those cameras! Which one do you have again?

Rick,

I bought the camera a couple of years ago, I think it was from http://www.sportzshot.com/helmetcameras.php

I originally used it with a Sony handicam but it was a little too bulky. I'm now using it with a solid state recorder that records onto flash memory cards

http://www.chasecam.com/

The chase cam unit is much lighter and compact. It is also a lot easier to transfer the video to the computer with the solid state recorder set up.

Mark,

It was a very strong engine and the kart handled pretty well also. I love racing in the cold Winter air!

Thanks for the helmet-cam video, Peter. I've wanted to get one of those for a long time. It must be great for comparing with lap-time charts to figure out how to get faster.

Hi Adam,

I hope to use it for that next year. Up until now, its largely been a toy.

The one thing that I find interestying is how much faster things look on video than they do when I'm actually in the kart. Everything appears to be running at double speed or more compared to what it feels like in the kart. However, I've timed the video lap with my watch and it is real time.
