Sunoco 110 or regular 94 pump gas?
Does it make sense to pay the difference, or perfomance is the same?

You can run pump Fuel, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Race fuel is a couple of bucks more a gallon; But it burns a lot Cleaner, which will make your engine last a lot longer between rebuilds, not to mention its better for your health and everyone else around.
If you’re going to run out at Norway I believe Mike sales it by the gallon, and if you run the Mid-West sprint series they’ll have a spec. fuel for ever race they run.
So in short; drop the cash for the Sunoco.
Ps. I think the mixture is like 6oz. oil per. Gallon of fuel

I might be confusing it with something I
read from another track, but they might
have a rule stating what fuel and where
it comes from. (The track in Shawano
definitely has that rule). I picked up
a series-rule sheet from them when we
were there - I'ts at home, but I'll check
it tonight and let you know.

as an alternative, martin, you could use some of that Glenlivet that's available at the track 4 pump :)

Not sure what rules all of the track’s have on fuel, a lot have gone to spec. fuel. The biggest reason for spec. fuels now a days, is that there is so much crap dumped into pump fuel that you can’t fairly measure one Station pump fuel against another.
Trane Motor Speedway: Norway, IL.
I don’t think they have any spec. Fuel. (Nothing on the web.)
USA International Raceway: Shawano, WI
I think they use the Mobil Station down the road from the track.
Badger Raceway: Dousman, WI
2cycle: Amoco Ultimate available at the BP station, on Highway 67 (1 mile from the track).
Tag: Open fuel. No Dioxane. (Mostly because everyone runs clean race fuel)
New Castle Motorsports Park: New Castle, IN.
I think only has a spec. fuel rule for the Spec. Tag classes. (Only class I seen on the web)
Mid-States raceway: Springfield, IL.
Doesn’t have a spec fuel you just need to pass the meter.
Mid-West sprint series: The above tracks.
I think they set a spec. fuel for each track when they run their series race there.

Even if spec fuel isn't required,
is there any concern on the 10% ethanol
put into gasoline sold in Illinois?

Actually the ethanol is the problem for the most part.
1.Ethanol is alcohol which creates a problem when it comes time to pass the meter.
•Alcohol and any additives used to create oxygen are illegal in 2cycle fuel.
