Why the Rotax Enduro is for you!!!

To Benefit Ken Johnson:
A portion of the proceeds from the 4-Hr. Rotax Enduro will go to Ken and his wife, Kayla during their difficult times. Ken Johnson is the official reporter of the US Rotax Program. He has covered the Rotax World Finals for the past five years. While covering the 2006 Rotax World Finals in Portugal this November, Ken was involved in a car accident. Hit by a drunk driver, Ken sustained serious injuries to his chest and lungs. We are lucky to report Ken's condition is improving, but Ken is still in a Portuguese hospital. To assist Ken and Kayla during this difficult time not only will a portion of proceeds go to Ken, we have also created a 'Ken Johnson Raffle' -- more information about this raffle will be released in the weeks to come and will be for sale at the event.

Current Rotax Customers:
Back by popular demand: the 4-Hr. Rotax Enduro! This year, you can bring your own Rotax kart. The Enduro offers another avenue of competition for your Rotax engine and a great way to get friends, family and coworkers behind the wheel. Expect seeing your biggest rivals with their own teams ready to battle. Lets grow our sport!!! If you know someone that would get a kick out of this, sign them up and get them in the seat.

Prospective Rotax Customers:

Rick,

I don't think it is the same Ken Johnson who organizes events at CIR. I saw him at the December 3 event and he looked fine. Also, as far as I know, CIR is his only involment in go-karting. His primary racing interest is dirt track stock cars and modifieds.

So tempting.... I might do it if we get a team of 4.

How about we do one at Norway next year?

I'd definitely do one at Norway. Will CHMS allow us to run one is the question.

South Bend or Road America would work for me should Norway be uninterested in hosting an event.

RA is very rough and would be hard on the karts for 4 hours but still a very fun track to drive. SBRP would be fine.

Question: How many would be interested in doing an enduro where each driver runs his/her own kart. Pit stops would be simply for a transponder change over. To avoid any mad scramble in the pits, timed pit stops could be mandated....say 60 or 90 secs.

Here are a couple advantages:

Big and little guys could team up without sacrificing comfort

Less wear and tear on one kart

Disadvantage?

Finding teammates with the same motor packages....or would we have to? How about mixed motor packages on a team?
