Consider Rotax for 2007! Save Money.

You can put a Rotax engine on your existing chassis. Talk to others who already run a Rotax engine package and the fun they have being part of the Rotax Program.

The 2006 season has shown very good interest and growth in the Rotax engine package as a good engine for competitive, reliable and economic karting for both sprint and road racing karts. The Rotax 2 speed shifter (DD2) is becoming more and more popular with the chassis being opened up to chassis manufacturers.

With local, national and world championships there is nothing out there like Rotax. Rotax has answered many of the industry's problems. The Rotax Program is easy to understand, the engine is easy to maintain and affordable and the sealed engines create an equal playing field that is attracting new karters to the sport.

Here is how Rotax program is starting to appeal to many people:

Sealed motor program which helps keeps all the engines on the same level playing field.
Worldwide set of rules that are strongly backed and enforced by the US importer as well as throughout the world.
Proven performance and reliability that makes the Rotax formula the most cost effective TaG engine formula.
Superior engine design:
Countershaft crankshaft that makes for a less vibrating engine.
An integral 14,000 RPM rev limiter.
Proven record of lower operating costs, significantly more time between rebuilds.
12 month limited warranty on all new engines; no other manufacturer makes this offer.
No Blue Printing allowed. The Rotax engine is truly run as stock and there is strong enforcement to keep engine service centers from modifying any part of the Rotax engine.
Program covers 5 classes throughout North America from the youngest Mini Max class to the very sexy 2 speed DD2 engine class.
A 50% increase of Rotax racers in North America for 2006 and signs are pointing towards a higher increase in 2007.
A true National Championship program that leads to a true World championship race. And the top US finishers at the Grand Nationals in Junior, Senior, DD2 and Master classes get most of their expenses paid to attend the Rotax World Championship race.
National support from the Champ Car Racing series which has made the US Rotax series the first step to Champ Car's driver development ladder system.
Top driver competition in all Rotax classes.
Come join the fun and see what Rotax racing has to offer.

Word has it they're selling so good the 'for sale' sign on the business has been taken down

The way I understood it Roberto, it was Joe's partner that was selling his share. SSC is into more than just karting and it was the 'other' part of the business that was for sale. Either way, that doesn't matter now because it's not for sale anymore, at least they're not soliciting. I believe at the right price anything is for sale :diablotin:

So quit stalling and get a DD2 so I can kick your butt :4:

Phil;

They can't even get more than 20 karts for the DD2 "Grand Nationals"

Is there any place in the U.S. where at the club level they run the DD2? :glare:

[They can't even get more than 20 karts for the DD2 "Grand Nationals"]

You are right about that Roberto. The reason for that may be because in the past, the RM1/DD2 attracted older drivers more interested in just lapping for fun. There are a large number of RM1 owners that have never shown up for one race. With the introduction of other chassis brands into the class, there are more shops promoting the DD2 now so I believe you will see the numbers starting to grow faster.

[Is there any place in the U.S. where at the club level they run the DD2?]

Tracks in this area include USAIR, SBRP, RAKC and I believe CHMS will offer the class in 2007. Have you tried the DD2 at Norway? Drop it in 1st gear and you can power out of the hairpin and 2nd gear on the back straight is pretty sweet.

No more excuses man. Save the Leopard for RIGP, get a DD2 and come and show us what it can do in the hands of a 'real' driver :4: ....no offense Rick :D

Rick....I was adding myself to the list too :D ...remember I drove your DD2 in the 100 lapper :4: I wish Roberto and/or Martin and/or Dave and/or Erjon would get a DD2/s and 'show' us how to go fast  ....I need a rabbit/s to chase. Come on guys....let's make it to Denver in '07 :4: If we make it to the world finals we can show previous USA qualifiers how a team show operate.....I volunteer to run blocker and bump draft in qualifying....I'm pretty sure I won't get blacked flagged over there :diablotin:
