For those who have not heard, Martin Lenick tested the coefficient of friction of his helmet at CHMS today - resulting in a severly broken collar bone.

Get well soon Martin!!
Martin broke out into a cold sweat after drinking one scotch at CIR. I think the pain really started to set in because he wanted vicodin really badly after that. He couldn't drive after that. I took him to the Walgreens and filled his prescription and then took him to his dad's wife's house. He's going to see an orthopedic surgeon soon have surgery so he can get his collar bone set.
It's very unfortunate that this happened because it could have easily been avoided.
Just reading about this now. Martin, I hope you get well soon!

Martin called me today and he's ok but he's in a lot of pain and really stiff and sore. He's glad he has vicodin. He has not seen a doctor yet. He plans to do so tomorrow.
Martin, I hope you recover 100%!

Martin,
Hope you recover very quickly. From what I've been reading it sounds as if the injuries to you could have been much worse. I hope this does not slow down the amount of humor you inject into some of these topics on this web site.
Get well soon and go see the Doctor.

Indeed, as John said, go to the doctor ASAP. We need you to be ready to go for the 24-hour in January!:)

A wise man once told me that as you get older you can still do all of the things you did when you were younger, but the recovery time keeps getting longer. Here is to a shorter recovery time. Feel better soon.

Thank you, Vince and Matt.
I wise man (my doctor) once told me (two days ago), "Up until this you were a 6'1" idiot. Now you're a 6' 1/2" idiot."
Not really, but that's what I would have said if I were him.:)

Considering that his alcohol intake levels are back to normal, I'm going to close this thread out.
