Dear USGP Fan:

I want to thank you for your patience and understanding as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has worked toward securing a Formula One event in 2008 and beyond.

After my recent meetings with Formula One Ltd. CEO Bernie Ecclestone, we have mutually agreed to not schedule Formula One racing at Indianapolis in 2008.

It has been a pleasure having the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis, and I hope that as we approach our Centennial Era at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, an opportunity might present itself that would allow its return.

I would like to take this time to thank you for your support of Formula One and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway over the past eight years.

Although the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will not be hosting a Formula One race in 2008, we are always looking to the future. With that in mind, we will have a historic motorsports announcement at 3:30 p.m. ET Monday, July 16. I want to strongly encourage you to log on to www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com (http://www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com/) to view this special event.

On behalf of the Hulman-George family and the staff at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, thank you again for your patience and understanding, and I hope that you consider attending one of our events in 2008.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to give us a call at (800) 822–INDY or (317) 492–6700 if we can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
