Rick,

The weather last weekend was right for fast laps....cool air....low humidity = horsepower. The sun kept some good temp in the track also.

That's what I thought at first. Stefan only posted 47.4 in the final and Scott posted 46.6 which are numbers that we've been seeing throughout the season. The 2 fastest guys were almost 1 second faster. That's a huge jump in skill, engine or chassis.

Rick,

I don't think you have anything to worry about.....Looking at the other classes that ran on Saturday...it is obvious from looking at the lap times that the conditions were very favorable....everybody was flying....or maybe they all found something in their chassis and discovered more talent.

Dave is right, the day was a good one for times. And Jordan is one VERY talented driver.

Jordan ran Jr. Sportsman classes several years ago, and was THE dominant driver to beat. Sage Karem has said publicly several times that Jordan was and is someone he looks up to.

Factor in all the weather, Jordan's talent, and the fact that they have been using the first part of the season to set up for the record, and you have one fast combination.

And I think there is still a tenth or two left on the table. Not sure that we'll see it this season though.

That's awesome that we have a driver of his caliber racing in the CHMS club series!

Yup. Very cool.

If you do a search on 'jordan johnson' over at ekn, you'll come up with quite a bit of stuff as I recall.

Les and I tuned with them a lot. Well, mostly Les did it and I learned. But I remember going to the first Daytona Man Cup race and coming home with 3 poles, outside pole, 2 wins, a second, and a third in fields of 40+. And being pissed in the Hooters after because we should have had a spot better on the non-wins.

After Jordan got hurt, they have been out for a long time. I suspect they'll slowly begin running bigger and bigger races again.

You'll hear more about him, I'm sure of that.

Andy

PS- He's a small guy running a M32. I am sure he'd be quicker yet in a smaller tube chassis.

It looks like TAG was almost as fast as the shifters at CHMS this last Saturday.
