BHF sold

I heard BHF was recently sold by Mr. Erwin to another GT-1 guy.

Anybody got any info on this?

I heard the new owner is going to run free track days just to let anybody who hasn't been there before try the track out.

Just be there at 6:00 a.m. on December 29th for the free track time.

Lots of changes for next season...

The current Bathrooms/Showers are coming down
Tech/Impound will be moved to new buildings just East of the Tower (behind where I sit)
There will be only one road to corner 1, the angled one buy the current Bathrooms will remain.

One interesting tidbit.. They actually waxed my wrecker and the rollback, very nice

Will we still be able to get electrocuted in the new showers? I always thought that was a nice touch.

When I camp overnight I shower at least once a day. Maybe it's because I take mine a little after 5am.

I had always thought that Mark did a sponge bath thing in the tow truck during the day.

On a more serious note. Any improvements to the track anticipated? It's a little torn up in places. That stuff they put down at 1,6,7 actiually made the track bigger. Any thought of taking that stuff out and just putting in some more offensive rumble strips?

What's that big graded area near the entrance just past the guard shack?

How 'bout more electrical outlets over on the side of the road near 6a?

How 'bout a secure area for the safety workers to stay. Not secure for them, more like a coral to keep them from scaring the racers with their drunken orgies at night.:evil_lol:

I did not hear anything about actual track improvements but rest assured the BIG Mike Irwin curbs will probably not be repeated.

The graded area is for the new Track office. I assume Registration and the Gate will also move. IMHO it would be hard to get to the office with the gate closed :)

Power near 6a... I think the water table (swamp) is like 2 inches under the grass.

Those are corner workers, the Safety guys stay in that big bus near the tower. I stay away form both. I'd rather go to the party then have it at my house

Back to the "shocking showers"... Are you guys sure it's not the Head & Shoulder "tingle"
