hi folks
what does anyone know about kgb tag karts?
there's a fella on ebay selling a complete tag kart (rotax engine) w/front brakes for $2500... its a 2002 chassis/engine, engine rebuilt & blueprinted in 2003 - 10 hours on the engine since then
seems like a steal even including shipping from minnesota...
are front brakes legal in tag? can they be run at norway?
how does kgb/rotax compare to margay/leopoard?
i'm looking to get into something mid-summer but don't want to blow a good opportunity if one comes along

Front brakes are not legal in TAGUSA for sprint racing,
they're legal for road racing.
However, in the RotaxMax Challenge, front brakes are allowed

thanks roberto
sorry you missed out this saturday!... it was freezing cold out at norway... you probably could have taped off 50% of your radiator :)
i think what is most likely to happen is that i'll pick up that HPV that will's friend is trying to sell... that is, if its still around when i have the cash...
i think i could run in HPV lite but might want to run in HPV heavy - the field in the heavy class is much larger and looks very competitive... the light class had only 4 guys show up (one of them in an HPV rentail from the track)...
then again, with fewer guys, the light class might be a better place for me to cut my teeth initially...
i'd like to spend about a half season getting my legs under me and then maybe try to compete in a full season next year :)...

Greg:
HPV is a great class, there's always a good number of racers.
The package that Ken (Will's friend) has is a BRM chassis with HPV.
Take a look at BRM website:
www.dream-kart.it
also, Profile Racing is the main importer of the chassis for the U.S.
they are located in IL, so you can get all the support that you will need. Give them a call, or talk to Will about them.

Greg,
I pretty sure Joel Driver got his kart from those folks (a BRM)
and was very pleased with their support. Check with him to
see if I remembered this correctly.
