Looks like most of you are off doing your outdoor "real racing"...
only 9 turned out for the start of the Spring Sprint League at CIR
(the Track 3 League won't even be running. However, it was a good
night (and you've only missed one, if you still want to get in).
Heavyweights and lightweights raced together, but points were
awarded separately for each. I suppose if more show up they'll
split us.

Racer's were:

Peter Jankovskis
Erjon Memishi
Dave Mickelson
Sergio Pessoa
Jason Oehler
Mark Kohl
Tom Maxwell
Michael Tiernan
Martin Lenick

The guys new to the leagues did very well and will undoubtedly
get better quickly. Already, none will have trouble with Roger.
(Just trying to get you to show up, Roger)

I got lucky in a couple races, especially this one:
Starting 3rd, with Dave 2nd, I would have had little hope
of getting around him. At the drop of the green (ccw), Dave
went for the #1 spot on the inside, and I tried my luck on
the outside. Somehow, the result was Dave being stuck
behind me for the rest of the race.

Nice racing, gentlemen. See you in a couple weeks, if not sooner.

Martin

we'll see what kind of alternatives are presented... if nothing else, maybe i'll use the money to get started at norway...

As an alternative to the Track 3 league, Jim Hanes thinks
a possibility might be a 100-lap enduro, single driver, limited
to 16 entries. I'd go for that.

i'd be interested also but not for 375 bucks :)

I think they have someone in that role already.

What do you guys think would be a fair price
for a 100-lap race? 14 laps on T3 A&D is $25
for the first two, $10 after that, so 100-laps
(7.1 A&D's) shouldn't be more than $100.
With the enduro cards, 7 A&D's would be $70.
Since not all have the cards, I think $85 would
be fair.

Did you guys see how fast the track was last night?
Lots of 15.6x's, and of course my 15.4x's
(brag, brag, brag)

:blah: :blah:

i was thinking 75... i'd be ok with 85 also...

however...

a 200-lap enduro costs 300 bucks... they might come up with 150 bucks for a 100-lap enduro...

but they wont have to manage pit stops & fuel stops so that saves a lot of employee efforts...

i definitely can't commit to 150 bucks... the HPV fund needs my dollars too ;)

if it's less then 100 i'm in. If they charge more than $100 because of employees and blah blah blah, i'm out... ( they already don't do anything anyway ) LOL

I'm doing a grandprix on monday night with my Biker guys. So either way i'll be there..
